Rookie Retrospective: Kevin Love
Apr 06, 2009, 02:17 am
In our latest installment of our “Rookie Retrospectives” series, we’ll be analyzing the play of former UCLA Bruin Kevin Love. After a very successful freshman campaign with the Bruins, Love declared for the 2008 NBA draft despite the many questions surrounding his NBA potential. GMs and scouts acknowledged his tremendous basketball IQ and rebounding ability, but questioned how his lack of athleticism and lateral quickness would translate to the League. Despite added pressure stemming from Minnesota’s trade for O.J. Mayo, Love has shown a significant amount of promise, especially in Al Jefferson's absence.
